Why I got it:  I saw it and I really like the cover and then read what it was about, I thought it was really interesting and I'm probably going to cry.

Why I got it:  Umm hello it's Richelle Mead. :) I got this because I had read the first 4 book of the series and I love the series so of course I'm going to read the next book. I had put it on the back burner though because the 4th book wasn't pulling me in as well as the other ones have but I kind of miss this story so I think this might be a book I pick up soon.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

                 Splintered by A. G. Howard- I am about 20% through this book and it's really good I can't wait to be able to read more it kind of hard to put down

    The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory- This book I'm not very far in.  I really hope it gets better it's not really holding my attention at the moment.

 last but not least I'm on book 2 of the A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin box set so I hope to continue that this week to

HALLOWEEN

Hey everyone I thought since it's October, and coming up on Halloween I would do a post about books that I like that is creatures we see all the time around Halloween.  I got this off of booktube. I don't know who started it but I thought it would be fun to do :)

1. Vampire- I think for this one instead of doing a book I am going to recommend my favorite manga series which is Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino.  I don't read a lot of manga but I really like this series.  I really like the art in this series, and I just love the story I can't wait to finish reading it. I'm not sure if the series is complete as of yet.

"Yuki Cross has no memory of her past prior to the moment she was saved from a vampire attack ten years ago. She was adopted by the headmaster of Cross Academy, and now works alongside Zero to guard the Academy's secret. Cross Adademy is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. 2. Werewolf- I picked Blood and Chocolate by Anette Curtis Klause.  I love this book the cover I think is amazing and I just love the story, I first found this book with I saw the movie, then found out that there was a book and you always have to read the book :). the only bad thing is I preferred the ending to the movie then the book which does not happen very often

3. Zombie- Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion.  Again I found this book because of the movie and I don't really have much to say because I actually liked the movie better then the book.

4. Ghost- The Ghost and the Goth by Stacey Kade I loved this book. I love the cover and the story is really great. I can't wait to read the rest of the series

5. Witch/Warlock/Spellcaster- Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins I love the cover of this book and the story is really well written. I know the author has a spin off from this series that I haven't had a chance to read yet but would really like to

6. Fairy/Fae- Tithe by Holly Black, This is my first fairy book that I read and I think that and again I really like the cover I think that is one of the things that draws me to a book is the cover.

7. Demon- Hunger by Jackie Morse Kessler. I don't know if this really counts as a demon book but I kind of think it does because this series is about people who because the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse

8. Angel- Fallen by Lauren Kate I really liked how this book was written and I really liked the first 2 books in this series but sadly i haven't finished the series and the covers are gorgeous

9. Alien- The Host by Stephenie Meyer, absolutely love this book. for me this book is way better then twilight and I usually don't read alien books at all.  Again this book got my attention when I saw they were making it into a movie, but I was  very happy that I picked this book up. It was kind of slow for about half of the book but it still is one of my favorite books and I know that she has said she is writing more according to goodreads there is suppose to be 2 more books but I haven't seen anything :(

Hey everyone just wanted to check in.  I didn't get much reading in because I was taking care of a sick baby but now she's feeling better.  Right now I'm reading the Constant Princess by Phillipa Gregory & Splintered by A. G. Howard on my kindle :)

Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin

 I wanted to read this book because I love the show and I like reading the books and comparing the two. The cover wasn't very good because I got a good deal for my kindle and got all 5 books for $20.  I know I was really excited about that. I think now its like $40 for all of them together.  So the covers aren't that good but that's ok. I loved how it described the dragon eggs because in the show u really didn't get to see them.  The story was well written but I don't know if it was because I already knew what was going to happen or what but it really didn't pull me in like I was hoping it would, which I'm kind of sad about, :( 

Now on to the characters.  Oh my goodness there is a lot more characters in the book than there are in the tv show. I don't think I even remember half of the names lol.  I still love Arya's character and I am looking forward to see the differences with her from the show (if there is any), and Sansa is still a spoiled naive little girl which from what I have heard that doesn't change much but I could be wrong :).    I am really looking forward to see how the characters develop compared to the TV show.

Hey everyone I just wanted to show off one of my favorite books of all time. This is one of the books that got me into reading. This is one of the books that  I can reread over and over again. I love the author to. I really haven't read a book from her that I haven't at least liked a little bit.  I don't know what made me pick this book up but it was when I was in school so it was probably for a book report or something, but I think this is one of the books that got me into reading.

First off I am going to try and finish Game of Thrones. I think I have three or four chapters to go and I think I'm going to take a break between each book because they are pretty good sized books and I don't want to get burned out on them.

  Now on my to read for this week I have two similar books, They are both an Alice in Wonderland retelling ( which I have been into a lot of book that are fairy-tale retellings lately


The first one is Splintered by A. G. Howard,

and the second one is Insanity by Cameron Jace I love the cover of this book

And there is the Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory that I am really looking forward to reading and I might have to start this one this week

Introductions Book Blog Newbie Tag

Hey everyone I thought I would just take a second and introduce my self. This Book Blog Newbie Tag is courtesy of oKschultz over at love and other bookish things. She took the time to create a list of question to answer so here I go. :)

 1. Why did you start this blog?
       I am starting a blog because I would like to connect to other people who like to read.  I don't have really anybody I know that reads the same type of book that I read.


 2. What are some fun and unique things you can bring to book blogging?
       

 3. What are you most excited for about this new blog?
        Hmm I think i am most looking forward to meeting new people



  4. Why do you love reading?
          I love experiencing new things and I think that is one thing u get from reading is new experiences. 



5. What book or series got you into reading?
         I remember reading Angels Watching Over Me by Lurlene Mcdaniel when I was in school and I fell in love with reading.


6. What questions would you ask your favorite authors?     
   I think it would be how did they came up with the story


7. What challenges do you think starting a blog will be the hardest to overcome?
   My biggest thing I think will be writing reviews for books that I am reading 


8. When did you start reading?
      as far as I can remember


9. Where do you read? 
   I read every where. I always have a book or my kindle with me at all times.


10. What kind of books do you like to read?    
      I mostly read young adult book but I will give anything a chance if I find it interesting.  I love reading fantasy and I have been really into historical fiction lately :)
